The Pedro Point Surf Club of Northern California was formed by a group of Peninsula surfers in 1987 at Pedro Point (Pacifica State Beach), the club’s home break. The club’s charitable purpose is to raise funds to educate the public regarding the sport of surfing and surfing safety awareness.

Over the years, the Pedro Point Surf Club has made contributions to the following non-profit groups:

• Pacifica Beach Coalition
• Pacifica Land Trust
• Pacifica Resource Center
• National Surfrider Foundation
• Surfrider Foundation Chapters: San Mateo, Santa Cruz, San Francisco
• Ride-A-Wave

The club started and continues with the philosophy of respecting the beach and ocean, educating the public about the sport of surfing and surfing safety awareness, having fun in the water, and making friends, with surfing as the vehicle that brings us together. Our club members have a spirit of camaraderie, coordination, cooperation, etiquette, and giving back to our environment and others.

If you would like to support the spirit and charitable efforts of the Pedro Point Surf club without becoming a member, you may contribute to any of the non-profit groups listed above by contacting one of our officers directly.

Joining the Club
To join the club, all prospective members are required to attend at least two club activities like a contest, surfari, club meeting, or surf session with their sponsor club member. After attending the club activities and meeting other club members you will receive an official welcome into the club (after application is reviewed by the club’s executive board) along with $40 annual club membership dues ($20 for 18 or younger, $55 for family membership). When the New Member Committee receives your dues payment, you will receive your club T-shirt. You can complete the club application on the membership page.

PPSC Business Meetings
Our Club meetings are open to all members and prospective members, so come on down! They are held at the Pacifica Community Center, corner of Crespi and Hwy 1, unless an alternate location is specified. They are typically held the last Thursday of the month at 7pm.  Check our calendar for a schedule of upcoming meetings.
