Bob's Big Smile
Bob Gruber joined the PPSC in 1988 during the first Surfari to the Santa Barbara area. He was great friends with Cam Pierce, grew up surfing Southern California and lived in Seal Beach for many years. Bob and his company, CEMCO, were generous supporters of the PPSC and all its charitable events. Despite living in Seal Beach he became a regular at all our surfaris, Surf Expos, Big Chill Outs and just surfing with us in Pacifica.

A few weeks ago Bob had a massive heart attack and passed at the young age of 66. Those years were packed with energy, love and enthusiasm. He not only surfed but was an accomplished sailor and fisherman. The ocean along with his family was the love of his life. Bob leaves behind his loving wife, Jenny Gruber, three year old son Ryan, step son Eric Halsey and many other family members and friends. We were lucky to have him as one of our PPSC brothers and will miss him dearly.

A service will be held for him at Seal Beach on January 23, 2010 with his ashes being spread at sea. May he surf forever and know our love and aloha will be riding with him.
